Abandoned village with a fantastic surrounding of nature 800m from the banks of the Mondego River, consisting of 14 urban items (stone houses in ruins) and 19 rustic, with an area of 54,000m2 and with enormous potential to develop a tourism project.
This village is located in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital in the district of Coimbra, near the Mondego river.

The Vieiro Crag is a natural belvedere of rare beauty on the Mondego valley and is inserted in the network of tourist routes of the county called "Refúgios encantado na terra chã", where we find an outcrop of quartz rocks at 344m altitude that with erosion over time, formed a kind of natural gallery overlooking the Mondego valley.
In the center of the village stands the chapel of S. Cosme, the patron saint. This saint in his time practiced veterinary medicine and is still today considered the protector of animals.
Its geo-location, between the Mondego River and the Serra da Estrela, are without a doubt its greatest advantages, allowing winter sports, as well as in the summer the Mondego or the Alva River, allowing fishing, swimming, canoeing, etc., existing next to the Mondego numerous megalithic monuments.
